U14's v Wareham
The Under 14s had a bit of a trek to Wareham on Sunday. We won the toss and elected to field. Charlie Martin was as miserly as ever with 4-0-8-0  and the first wicket went to Lewis F with the score on 20. As with the under 13`s our bowling is very erratic for this reason the extras out scored the runs scored by the batsmen. Their final total was 74 of which 38 were extras. Josh was the star with the ball with 2-8 from 3 and there was also a wicket for Tommy Vincent (and no wides). Matty ward also bowled extremely well with 2-0-4-0 and special congratulations on reaching his 12th birthday. Batting wise, Taylor dominated the early assault and was on 25 when the tape on Lewis`s bat stopped him from retiring. Josh followed soon after, so we had two new batsmen in Matty Ings and Matty Gordon at the crease. Both Mattys looked supremely confident and a fantastic off drive to the boundary sett Matty Gordon on his way to an excellent 16 not out. Matty . We passed their total quite comfortably in the 12th over for a much needed win.
U13's v Broadstone

The under 13`s lost the toss and Broadstone put us into bat. The rain started to fall and the game was reduced to 19 overs a side. Josh and Matty Ward opened the innings and for the first time since Adie has been manager, the openers posted 50 runs. After 16 overs Matty Ward retired on 32 with the score on 72. Josh followed him for 23 after a skippers innings which left the way clear for Toby Saunders to smash a quick 29 not out and see us to 121-2.

In reply our bowlers gave them too many wides and no balls but thanks to Matty Ward 3-27, Charlie Martin 2-26 and Josh 3-0-16-1 we restricted them to 112-7 and our first win. Avery good performance from all the players of which only 3 are under 13`s. Thanks to Nick for scoring and  to the parents who braved the rain to support.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE NOW OVERDUE.
